Hometown Heroes

On September 11, many people who never thought of themselves as heroes became heroes…not for their bravery but for their service to the people of New York.

Members of the New York State Public Employees Federation were on the job when terror struck New York City, and they’re still on the job, today.

On the frontlines. Delivering lifesaving medical care.

Counseling and consoling those in despair. Fighting bio-terrorism. Making sure our food is safe to eat, and our air and water is clean and pure.

These are some of the vital services PEF members deliver every day — in your hometown. PEF members. Protecting and serving you. They’re hometown heroes, every day.
