Apply by May 1 for Jean DeBow
scholarship
If you are pursuing a college degree, you may want to
apply for a Jean DeBow scholarship. Applications are now
available through the PEF Statewide Scholarship Committee
at PEF headquarters.
One scholarship award of $1,000 will be presented at the
PEF convention.
This scholarship honors the late PEF Vice President Jean
DeBow, highlighting her efforts encouraging PEF women to
further their educations.
The scholarship competition is open to PEF women pursuing
an accredited post-secondary education (including
training in Cornell Labor Studies) in any field.
Include proof of current enrollment from an accredited
program for this school year with your application.
You also must provide other pertinent information, submit
a brief essay and a written statement from another PEF
member stating why they are sponsoring you.
Applications must be received at PEF headquarters no
later than May 1.
Winners are no longer eligible to compete for future Jean
DeBow Women in PEF scholarships. By Deborah A.
