Women’s event to be March 29 in Saratoga
Springs
The PEF Women’s Committee is busy preparing for Women’s
History Month in March. The committee wants to nominate an activist for the
National Women’s Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls and it is planning a program
for Saturday, March 29, in Saratoga Springs.
You can help the committee by sending your suggestions of activists who have
made a difference in the lives of PEF women for recognition in the Hall of
Fame. Send their names and information about why they deserve the nomination
to the PEF Women’s Committee, PO Box 12414, Albany, NY 12212-2414.
Suggestions must be received by February 29.
The March 29 program will be held at the Inn at Saratoga and will feature
speakers from the Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) focusing on
mobilizing and on health issues. Tentative plans call for the program to
begin at 11:30 a.m. and to include light refreshments. More information will
be publicized when it becomes available in the March issue of The
Communicator and the PEF Information Line weekly updates.
