| Final round of PEF special elections
concluding In an effort to keep all members represented on the unions Executive Board, the final round of quarterly special elections to fill board vacancies is concluding. All current terms of office on the Executive Board end in July. As the only certified candidate, James Blake was automatically elected in February to fill a vacancy in PEF Executive Board Seat 165 which represents some members in the state Executive Department. An election between Ron Manuli and Bonnie Nechemias was scheduled to fill the vacancy in Seat 45 which represents some members at Fishkill, Wallkill, Eastern, Woodbourne, Mid Orange, Otisville, Camp Beacon, Ulster, Shawangunk and Sullivan Correctional Facilities. No candidate was certified to fill the vacancy in Seat 190 which represents some members at the state Department Health; Health main offices Region 8 Wadsworth Center and Executive Park South (PEF Division 205B). PEF began its triennial election process on March 6 when slate submission and slate acceptance forms became available to fill all Executive Board, regional and statewide offices.
