New Web site opens window on benefits
Thanks to PS&T Contract Article 42, PEF members in state service have access to
a broad network of resources to help manage many personal, family and career
challenges and issues.
Article 42 establishes the Family Benefits Program and Work-Life Services, which
now can be accessed online at
www.worklife.state.ny.us. Your Employee Assistance Program is now also
located at that Web site.
These combined services include:
• Life-planning tools for making decisions and developing strategies for
parenthood, midlife and retirement;
• Confidential, personalized help dealing with issues ranging from budgeting and
debt to substance abuse and addictive behaviors; and
• Information about how to have a healthy lifestyle and improve your physical
and mental health.
The Work-Life site also has links for pre-tax savings programs established under
the contract — the Dependent Care Advantage Account, the Health Care Savings
Advantage Account and NYS Rides.

The Work-Life Services Web Site is jointly sponsored by the NYS Family Benefits
Program and the NYS Employee Assistance Program and funded through the PS&T and
