Meet the PEF Nurses Committee 2001
Heading the PEF Statewide Nurses Committee for 2001 are Debbie Egel and June Edwards.
A PEF Region 11 member, Egel is a nurse 3, psychiatric, at the state’s Addiction Treatment Center in Howard Beach. She’s a member of the PEF Executive Board and treasurer of PEF Division 326.
Edwards is a nurse 2 at University Hospital in Syracuse. A Region 4 member, she is a steward in PEF Division 320 and serves on the PEF Executive Board.
Other committee members are Joyce Degenhardt, Pat Wilson, Mike Curry, Lee DeMoney, Henrietta Fogle, Sonia Francis, Jo Cecilia Moore, Matthew Thoyalil and Cindy Bartley-Horn. PEF nurse organizer Lenore Boris staffs the committee.
Degenhardt is PEF Region 1 coordinator and a nurse at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo.
A nurse administrator 1 at Metro NY Developmental Disabilities Services Office in New York City, Wilson serves on the PEF Executive Board. The Region 10 member is also treasurer of Division 292.
Curry is a disability analyst 2 at the state Office of Temporary Disability Assistance in PEF Region 5. He is council leader of Division 399.
DeMoney is a nurse 2 psychiatric at Elmira Psychiatric Center. The Region 2 member is council leader of Division 223.
Fogle is a Region 10 member working as a health surveyor for the state Health Department in New York City. She is a steward in PEF Division 199.
A Region 11 member, Francis is a nurse 2, psychiatric, at Kingsboro Psychiatric Center in New York City. She is a steward in Division 252.
Moore is also a nurse 2, psychiatric. She works at Mohawk Valley Center for Youth in PEF Region 6 and is co-council leader of Division 183.
Thoyalil is a social worker 1 at Pilgrim Psychiatric Center on Long Island. The Region 12 member is treasurer of Division 233 and a member of the PEF Executive Board.
Bartley-Horn is a community mental-health nurse at Middletown Psychiatric Center where she is council leader of Division 279. The Region 9 member also serves on the PEF Executive Board.
