Division 236 awards scholarships
PEF Division 236 at the state Division of Parole awarded 10 college-bound
students $500 Neil Boyle Scholarships. PEF President Ken Brynien selected the
winners in a random drawing at the February Executive Board meeting. The
scholarship committee members are Richard Mata, Mike Murphy, Wayne Spence and
Darryl Stevenson.
The winners are: Desmond Maurice Carter, son of Linda Huff of Staten Island;
Christina Casamassima, daughter of Sal Casamassima of Jewett; Mackenzie Cudney,
daughter of Barbara Cudney of Perry; Benjamin and Megan Crowley, children of
Michael Crowley of Medina; Jason Elphick, son of John Elphick of Cheektowaga;
Omari McClearly, son of Letricia McClearly of Staten Island; Samantha Miller,
daughter of Mark J. Miller of Johnsonville; Adam Perez, son of Victor A. Perez
of the Bronx; and, Stacey Snyder, daughter of Donald Snyder of Kent.
This scholarship is open to children of PEF Division 236 members who are full-
time students at an accredited school of higher education, including junior or
community college, a four-year college or a vocational/trade school.
