MURPHY LABOR WALK — CDALF President/PEF Vice President Joe Fox rallies union members to go door-to-door to help elect congressional candidate Scott Murphy, a Democrat. Murphy attended the event at the Exit 8 Park and Ride lot in Clifton Park March 28 with his wife and family. Murphy was running against Assembly Minority Leader Jim Tedisco in a special election for the 20th Congressional District. The seat was vacant since January when Kirsten Gillibrand was appointed by Gov. David Paterson to the U.S. Senate. The election was March 31. However, in mid-April as The Communicator goes to press, absentee ballots are still being recounted. Murphy is ahead by 273 votes.
