PEF golf tournament swings in Saratoga

The 2nd annual PEF statewide golf tournament is slated for Wednesday, August 12, at the Saratoga Spa Golf Course.

“The event coincides with PEF’s Executive Board meeting in August,” said PEF Region 1 Coordinator Kevin Hintz. “It is an opportunity for our leaders and members to enjoy an activity and share time together.”

The $100 entrance fee includes green fees, a golf cart, door prizes, a buffet dinner and an awards presentation.

Registration is at noon, and the four- person scramble has a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The tournament is limited to 100 golfers and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

You do not need a foursome to register, but there must be one PEF member per twosome, or two PEF members per foursome. Spouses are also invited. The cost to attend just the dinner and awards presentation is $30.

The prizes will include a four-man low ball, four-woman low ball and four-mixed low ball.
Members may contact one of the tournament chairs for more information or to make a prize donation. The chairs are Hintz (800-462-1462) and Region 4 Coordinator Don Kehoskie (800-724-5004). You may also contact the PEF Mobilization Department at 800-342-4306 ext. 227.

Registration forms are available at all PEF regional offices and the PEF Mobilization Department. The completed form and check for the full amount payable to “PEF Statewide Golf Tournament” must be received by July 29. It should be mailed to NYS PEF, Karen Conte, Mobilization Department, P.O. Box 12414, Albany, NY 12212-2414. — Deborah A. Miles
