Board The PEF Special Elections Committee announces vacancies in one position of PEF trustee and in two seats on the PEF Executive Board. The post of trustee was formerly held by Glendore Ulerie who has accepted a promotion to a state management position. The Executive Board vacancies are: Seat 230 representing PEF members at the state Labor Department in Region 8; and Seat 540 representing some members working at National Development and Research Inc. and at Lockport Hospital. Petitioning begins July 16 and ends August 6 to nominate candidates to fill these unexpired terms ending July 31, 2003. You must have been a PEF member since August 9, 1999 to run for trustee and since Feb. 7, 2001 for Executive Board. To sign a nominating petition, you must have been a PEF member since June 22. If more than one eligible candidate is nominated for a seat, a special election will be held. Ballots will be mailed to members of that constituency on August 20, returnable to the American Arbitration Association (AAA) by Sept. 10. You must have been a PEF member since August 6 to be eligible to vote in any of these elections if they are held.
