Because privatization is a major threat to quality public
services, it is essential for PEF members to be on the
alert and respond strongly to this danger.
Some of the strategies being used by our members include:
identifying the threat, mobilizing the membership, using
effective research, forming coalitions, enlisting
community support, using media, and developing political
environments to prevent privatization.
To acknowledge the many outstanding contributions of our
members, PEF invites nominations for the annual
“Fight Back Against Privatization” Award.
Please take a moment to nominate a PEF member who has
actively fought privatization.
