POLITICAL ORGANIZER/LOBBYIST
(with New York State focus)
Immediate Opening


Position Summary: Coordinate and organize member campaign and lobbying activities to implement strategic political agenda. Lobby legislature and leadership to maintain and improve the terms and conditions of employment for PEF members.

Qualifications:  Lobbying experience; training/experience on campaign organizing and coordinating; understanding of state budgetary process; degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Public Relations, Labor Relations or related fields considered a plus; familiarity with operations of legislature and governor’s office and key staff; willingness to work unusual and uneven hours; ability to travel.

Salary range:  $48,706 – $62,101 plus longevity steps, to be determined by experience, with excellent employer paid benefits.

Position Summary:  Research federal legislative and political action issues; develop positions on federal legislation; recommend legislative and lobbying strategies to Legislative Director, Statewide PAC and President; analyze/develop positions around federal budget; develop productive relationships with political leaders.  Coordinate and organize member campaign and lobbying activities to implement strategic political agenda. Director of Finance
Immediate Opening

Position Summary:   Oversee financial operations of PEF in conjunction with the Secretary-Treasurer’s office. Supervise recording of all financial transactions; prepare annual budget; prepare periodic comparative operational cost statements, tax returns, LM2 reports and other federal/state required documents; oversee investments; work cooperatively with elected leadership, member committees and outside auditors.  

Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years in Audit/Finance.  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.

Salary range:  $68,105 – $85,342 plus longevity steps, to be determined by experience, with excellent employer paid benefits.
