PEF E. Board seat for Health Dept. open
Nominees are sought to fill a new mid-term vacancy on the PEF Executive
Board.
Seat 180 represents certain members at the state Health Department’s main
office and in PEF Regions 1-7, except Saranac Lake and Herkimer. It also
represents members at DOH’s Oxford and Batavia Veterans’ Homes.
Nominating petitions for this seat will be available starting October 9 and
must be returned by October 30.
If two or more nominees are certified by the Special Elections Committee,
ballots will be mailed November 20 to constituents, for return to the
American Arbitration Association by December 18. They will be counted
December 19.
The successful candidate will serve the remainder of the unexpired
three-year term which ends in August 2009. — Sherry Halbrook
