PEF Executive Board Seat 172 has been added to five other vacant seats,
announced in September, to be filled in the quarterly special election
process that begins this month.
Seat 172 was left vacant by the recent death of Board Member Phil Chase.

Nominees also are sought for the other five seats for which no candidates
were certified in the triennial elections earlier this year.
Nominating petitions for all six seats became available October 1. Petitions
must be returned to the PEF Special Elections Committee by October 22.
If more than one candidate for a seat is certified, a special election will
be held, with ballots mailed by the American Arbitration Association
November 10 and returnable by December 1.
Seats to be filled in these special elections are:
• Seat 25, which represents certain PEF members at the state Department of
Correctional Services working at the following facilities – Albion, Elmira,
Camp Monterey, Rochester, Groveland, Southport, Orleans, Livingston and
Willard;
• Seat 155, which represents certain PEF members at the state Office of Real
Property Services and at the Adirondack Park Agency;
• Seat 172, which represents certain PEF members at the state Office for
Technology administration and statewide wireless network, and at the NYS
Foundation for Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR);
• Seat 325, which represents certain PEF members in Region 9 at the Hudson
River Psychiatric Center (PC) and at Mid-Hudson PC; and at Central NY PC,
and the state Office of Mental Health (OMH) Main Office;
• Seat 360, which represents certain PEF Region 10 members at the NY
Psychiatric Institute, at the OMH Washington Heights Unit and at the OMH
Main Office; and
• Seat 555, which represents certain PEF members at Roswell Park Cancer
Institute, NYS Canal Corporation and the NYS Canal Authority.
