How to help show Bush the door

- Voter registration —
• Get registered;
• Get your family members, friends and co-workers registered; and
• Help register voters in your community.

How to do it — Get voter registration forms from the state Board of Elections online at www.elections.state.ny.us, or call 1-800-FOR VOTE. Submit completed registration forms to your county board of elections.

- Financial support —
• Join COPE;
• Contribute $20 or more to PEF’s Show Bush the Door Campaign; and
• Urge fellow members to join COPE and contribute to the PEF campaign.

How to do it — Complete and return the COPE Authorization form on page 10; and send it with your special Show Bush the Door contribution (payable to SEIU COPE) to:
PEF Campaign 2004
PO Box 12414
Albany, NY 12212-2414.

- Volunteer to —
• Work weekends and/or evenings on the campaign in the state where you live; or
• Work weekends on the campaign in a state near where you live; or
• Work for several months as paid* campaign staff in a battleground state, such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Hampshire or Florida.

How to do it — 1. Contact your PEF regional coordinator for more information and/or to volunteer.

* Paid campaign staff would need to use two to nine months of leave accruals from their regular jobs. No employee organizational leave can be used. Full-time campaign staff will receive a weekly stipend of $820 to cover their food, lodging and other expenses. — Sherry Halbrook
