PS&T UPDATE
Members’ support strengthens bargaining team

The PS&T contract team is continuing its talks with representatives from the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations.

“We have been well prepared and organized in our meetings with the state,” said PEF Vice President and Contract Chair Ken Brynien. “We continue to address issues of mutual concern to both sides.

“The team is grateful to our members who sent faxes to the governor for PEF’s “Cut State Waste, Not State Workers” campaign. It’s important the union continues to work on legislation to improve the economic outlook of the state,” he said.

In order for the union to show its muscle, Brynien said the contract team needs an informed and active membership. In times of bargaining, members must be ready to be on-call as well as have patience.

The contract team is also encouraging members to stay informed.
