Budget rally information you need to know now
PEF leaders are urging members to attend a  “March For Main Street” rally on Wednesday, January 7 to address the state’s budget crisis, and to protect state jobs and services.

The “March For Main Street” rally will begin at the Times Union Center in Albany where union members will gather and march to the State Capitol. Buses will be provided by PEF and will leave PEF headquarters in Latham at 9 a.m.

“This is a very critical rally and we need member participation,” said PEF President Ken Brynien. “Our voices need to be heard to let the governor and lawmakers know state workers are vital to the economy and unnecessary, overpaid consultants are not. Our goal is to protect our jobs, the services to the state, and offer solutions to the current fiscal downturn.”
