| Open & Contract Rates:
Rates may be changed upon 60 days notice to advertisers
under contract and for new advertisers the rates are
effective with the published date on the new or latest
rate card. Advertising is on a contractual basis, and
must be inserted within one year of first insertion to
earn frequency rates. If the number of insertions is not
specified on the order or contract, each insertion will
be billed at the one-time rate. No cash rebates will be
made, and all bills are due and payable when rendered.
Rates are net charges due the publisher. Note: If the
advertising contract is not met, the advertiser will be
short-rated. Copy: Submission of copy is the responsibility of the advertiser. Last insertion will run if new copy is not received by closing date. The publisher and advertising director reserve the right to reject any advertising considered objectionable. Advertising that resembles editorial space will be marked advertisement by the publisher. Closing Dates: The closing date for space reservations is the 1st Monday of the month preceding publication month. Copy received after the 15th only by publishers/advertising directors approval. No cancellations are accepted after closing dates. Conditions: All advertising agreements are subject to labor disputes, fires, accidents or other contingencies beyond the publishers control, and neither the publisher nor the advertising director shall be held liable for damages if for any reason he fails to publish an advertisement. The advertiser agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the publisher/advertising director against any claim or litigation arising from the publication of any advertisements. All advertisements are published upon the representation that the agency and/or advertiser is authorized to publish the entire contents and subject matter thereof. Inserts: A four page ad supplement can be placed in the entire press-run or targeted to a specific regional area in New York State. Frequency Rates: All contracts must be completed within ten (10) months from the first insertion to earn frequency discount rates. The 10-time rate is earned by running 10 consecutive issues. Short Rate: Advertisers will be short-rated if, within a ten (10) month period from the date of the first insertion you have not used the contracted amount of space. Billing Policies Billing Date: Bills will be rendered on the 15th day of the publication month. Payment is due when advertiser receives proof of The Communicator publication in the mail. Credit Limit: Scheduled advertising may be interrupted if any payment is more than sixty (60) days past due. |
