PEF Division 399 bestows scholarships

PEF Division 399 at Glendale Technology Park in Endicott serves a disabled community and is also looking out for the educational welfare of its members’ children. At a June luncheon, six students selected by the division’s fund raising committee received a $250 scholarship.

The recipients are:
• Mike Burnett, a junior at Alfred State College, is a member of the Honor Society Phi Kappa Theta and involved in several intramural and club sports. He is the son of Rebecca Burnett.
• Amanda Fedish, a sophomore at Mansfield University, enjoys track and field and is a NCAA student athlete. Lauren Fedish is her mom.

• Michael Merrill, an upcoming junior at North Carolina State, has applied for early admission to medical school and is ranked number one in his graduating class. Mary Ann and Dale Sacharov are his parents.

• Robert Misulich, who participates in several pre-law and political activities, is earning high grades at George Washington University where he is a sophomore this fall. He is the son of Gail Misulich.

• David Ousterout is headed to Cornell University. He is a National Honor Society member and was the senior captain for the cross country and track teams at Seton Catholic Central High. He is the son of Eileen Ousterout.

• Carolyn Marie Walker plans to attend Nazareth College. She enjoys the arts and theater and is a National Honor Society member. She is the daughter of Carol Walker.

Members of the Division 399 fund-raising committee are Nicholas Cataldo, chair; Andy Krapf; Joe Mack; Rita Scheer and Rose Sullivan.
