Black Caucus awarding scholarships

PEF’s Black Caucus will present the 17th annual Vivian Birdsong Monsanto scholarship awards program on Saturday, June 26, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel JFK in Jamaica, NY.

The scholarships will be given to a child or legal ward of a Black Caucus member who will attend an accredited college, university or vocational school in the fall as a first-year student. Applications were selected in May.

Tickets for the event are $45, and raffle tickets are also being sold. For more information, contact Teresa Snyder, committee chairperson, at 718-953-2025.

To make a donation to the scholarship program, make your check payable to Black Caucus, and mail it to Angela Ryan-Beale, Treasurer, The Black Caucus of New York State P.S. &T. Workers – PEF, 136 Church Street – 4th floor, New York, NY 10007.
