KEEPING THE DREAM ALIVE — PEF Trustee Olubiyi Sehindemi (better known as “Mr. B”) is congratulated by friends on receiving a Keeping the Dream Alive Award at the 2005 Martin Luther King Jr. luncheon on January 17 in New York City.

The award was presented by NYC Council Speaker Gifford Miller and Council Member Larry Seabrook to Sehindemi for his leadership in advancing Dr. King’s dream of a society in which everyone is judged equally on the quality of their character and not the color of their skin. “We have come a long way since Dr. King challenged America to live up to its promise, but we have a long way to go,” Sehindemi told the crowd of more than 1,000 people. — Photo by Richard Dillard
