Let’s call it what it is:
Racial Discrimination.

Racial discrimination is ugly and reprehensible, especially when it’s practiced by a state agency.

The New York State Department of Labor plans to close its New York City Telephone Claims Center, the only claims center where the majority of the employees are minorities, moving the jobs upstate — forcing the employees to choose between their jobs and their communities.

The New York State Public Employees Federation is suing the state Department of Labor and its Commissioner, Linda Angello to stop this discrimination.

Join us, other labor unions and concerned citizens to show your support as we gather at Foley Square Park at noon on August 2nd to file the lawsuit against this discrimination.

Let’s end this racial discrimination and stop the move.
