Its
a bad move in any language.
Don’t hang up on New York City.
Stop the closure of the State Department of Labor Telephone Call Center.
Whether it’s Russian, Creole or Chinese, state workers can answer the call.
Yet the State Department of Labor plans to close its New York City Call Center and transfer the jobs upstate — jobs of workers who are multilingual and understand New York City’s diverse labor market.
It’s a plan that would also eliminate 250 jobs in Lower Manhattan at a time when the city is still recovering from the impact of the terrorist attacks of September 11th.
Keep New York City on the line and stop the closure of the State Department of Labor Telephone Call Center.
Fax a letter to the governor and the labor commissioner now!

Tell them moving jobs out of the city is a bad move.
