What
is there to hide? Its just comparison shopping. Pass the Cost-Benefit Analysis Bill Good businesses know it’s wise to determine how to get the best bang for the buck. It’s called comparison shopping and it’s often done through a “cost-benefit analysis.” Yet, each year, the state of New York spends more than $2.5 billion on private consultants, without determining if it’s the best use of our tax dollars. All we’re advocating is accountability. Shouldn’t the state do a cost-benefit analysis before contracting out? It’s in the best interest of taxpayers. Similar laws are already in place in Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, California, Connecticut and Vermont, and it will save New York state taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars each year. What are consultants afraid of? Public employees are a better value for your tax dollars, but don’t take our word for it, pass the Cost-Benefit Analysis Bill and find out for yourself. Call lawmakers at 1-877-255-9417 and tell them to stop taxpayer abuse. Pass the Cost-Benefit Analysis Bill S.6575 Spano/A.1259 John. The benefits are less taxing.
