Last year, just 2 percent of the houses sold were in that range for families earning $100,000! The average CSEA member working for NYS earns $36,650 a year. The average PEF member earns $58,900. New York state employees who are members of six unions in the executive branch receive downstate location pay that is 150 percent greater than members of six other unions in the same branch of government. The federal government provides its employees 10.59 percent of salary to compensate for the high cost-of-living downstate. Shouldn’t all public employees be treated equally?
