AT RISK: Our patients, our profession, and the future of quality health care.

As nurses, we put ourselves on the line each day to ensure that our patients receive the highest possible quality of care.

But, as the state of our health care industry worsens, it’s getting more and more difficult to provide for our patients
and achieve a safe and healthy workplace.

The crisis in nursing is the number one threat to public health today.

Understaffing and forced overtime are putting patients at risk and driving nurses out of the profession.

Patients need nurses and nurses need an end to mandatory overtime and unsafe staffing.

Union nurses are standing together to make our voices heard. With the safety of our patients at stake, we cannot afford to simply do nothing.

We call on New York’s legislators to end unsafe conditions, to protect our patients and to stop the exodus of nurses from the profession.

END MANDATORY OVERTIME.
SET SAFE STAFFING RATIOS.
